Indian tasty dish:Litti Chokha.
This recipes is a specialty dish from Indian state"Bihar".This dish is made from whole wheat flour,roasted gram flour and Ghee.So this dish is full of nice flavors and is very healthy.The Ghee used in this recipes is all unsaturated fats that is actually food for your health, so you can eat it without the worry of getting fat and can be made at home.So lets start making it..........π

- Wheat flour or you can also use multi grain flour.
- Salt.
- Samal fennel OR kalaunji/mangraila
For the filling:
- Toasted gram flour or Sattu.
- Salt
- Vegetable oil.
- Samal fennel OR kalaunji/mangraila
- Lemon juice
- Fresh coriander
- Green chilies
Actually Chokha is made of mashed potatoes and flavored in many ways.

Lets start preparing our dish:
Preparing the outer covering:
- Take 1⁄2 kg of wheat flour into a bowl.
- Add salt, Samal fennel seeds and a tablespoon oil into the wheat flour and mix all the ingredients properly.
- Knead the dough soft by adding water as needed.
- Keep aside.
Preparing the filling:
- Take 150-200 gms of Toasted gram flour. or Sattu in a small bowl.
- Add Salt,Vegetable oil,Samal fennel OR kalaunji/mangraila,Lemon juice,Fresh coriander,Green chillies into it.
- Mix it properly with the help of little bit of water.
- Keep aside.
Preparing the Chokha:
- Take 1⁄2 kg potatoes and boil it.
- Mash the boiled potatoes.
- Crackle some green chilies and onion in a big spoon over the flame and add it to the mashed potatoes.
- Add salt and mix everything nicely.
Making the Littis:
- Make roundels and shape it into a cup using your hand.
- Place 1-2 spoons of your prepared filling in the center of the cup.
- Now close the cup and keep aside.
- You can cook these littis on barbecue stand or in the microwave.
Serve hot with Ghee/clarified butter and Chokha. Many types of chokhas are made for this dish but i am doing the classic potato chokha in this post . I'll be adding all the types of chokhas for you soon.ππ
